The Timothy Project is a scholarship fund that has been established to create the opportunity to pour into the lives of senior pastors in a tangible way. From time to time the church’s budget cannot afford to invest in their lead pastor in a manner that will produce the greatest results in growing the church. It has been said that growing leaders produce growing churches. Not only does the budget sometimes not allow for this, but the increased rate of inflation in 2023 rising 8% has put a significant strain on the church at large, forcing churches to cut costs that seem extraneous, like training, development and health. According to the United States Inflation Calculator (The Consumer Price Index), cost of living has increased almost 17% in the last three years. Therefore, LDI took it upon themselves to create such a fund to give the extra financial resources pastors need. Sometimes leaders require assistance to accomplish their greatest dreams in ministry.

They should not be held back from learning new and innovative ways to reach people simply because they lack the funding to do so. The Timothy Project solves this barrier through coming alongside the pastors’ existing resources so they can be involved in Mastermind Cohorts.

In the same way that Paul did for Timothy, your willingness to contribute will provide encouragement as well as an opportunity for instruction to help these pastors grow spiritually and practically.

The end goal is to equip these leaders, who will in turn equip those they lead to help their churches thrive, ultimately benefitting the Kingdom of God.
